Welcome to the world of Original little bird.For Textile designer Gabi Bolton inspiration comes from a wide range of sources from Contemporary sculpture and Folk art to the decorative use of Nature and Landscape in design. Observation and analysis of printing techniques from woodblock to screen printing has informed her approach to her latest work, where the technical limitations of such disciplines encourage and challenge creativity. The latest designs with their images of nature and animals satisfy a need for comfort and familiarity by striking a chord with the past and offering a sense of the pastoral idyll that we crave in the sometimes claustrophobic urban landscape we inhabit.
